We are a publicly traded (OTC Pink Sheets:XLACF) technology company focused on acquiring
interests in and supporting emerging companies that are leading innovation
and developing great technology. In these endeavors we focus on helping
talented entrepreneurs build great companies and thereby help us build
long-term value for our shareholders.
We proudly operate our subsidiaries and manage our interests
in leading infrastructure, software and security technology companies.
When
we established Xcelera, we sought to create a new kind of
funding vehicle for emerging companies – one that’s
based on unrelenting focus on innovation, superior service to
entrepreneurs, and intense dedication to build value with
a true long-term perspective, all backed by the financial commitment and
accountability of a publicly traded company.
With Xcelera, we also sought to create
a new kind of investment vehicle for investors – one
that enables investors to indirectly acquire interests in leading-edge
private emerging companies
while maintaining
liquidity of a public stock. We generate revenues from
our subsidiaries, we receive interests and dividends on our investments,
and we realize income
when we sell our investments.
We have only begun our mission. We continually search for
leading innovations, strong entrepreneurs and emerging companies
that seek a strong partner
to harness their future success and that fit our target profile.
Strategy:
Our strategy is to be the primary investor in emerging
companies that seek to create new markets with significant
growth potential.
We
focus on
early-stage or troubled-stage
companies and take a labor-intensive, service-oriented approach
in markets that we have identified as attractive. These
markets include
infrastructure,
software
and security technology.
To ensure that our companies gets the
attention that they need to maximize their potential, we will
acquire interests in only
a select
few companies.
This gives
us an unusually high senior participation rate in our companies
helping the companies getting quality support and us getting
good information.
Our acquisitions have
ranged in size from as little as $50,000 to as much as $50 million. Typically,
we look to acquire stakes of $2 to $5 million initially
and expect to invest $5 to $15 million over the life of a company. We
typically look to invest for the long haul, not 'quick flips,' and look for
entrepreneurs with a similar perspective.
Once invested, we work hard to help build our companies, and to identify
and provide introductions for our companies to companies whose businesses
can augment
or benefit from our existing technology companies and their partners.
When
a company has reached financial and business maturity we seek to align
ourselves with management and external business partners to provide
the company
with thesupport it needs to take the steps to the public or merger markets.
